The Calcutta Children Charity was set up following a visit to Kolkata (Calcutta) in 2006. During the visit we visited the Loreto children’s Orphanages in the city and outlying village schools which are supported by the Loreto organisation.
To date the work of the Charity has been low key involving fund raising concerts and small work based activities to raise money and awareness.
The Charity does not incur any overheads and all the money raised to date has been sent directly over to the Loreto Orphanage in Kolkata.
The Charity is committed to raising much needed funds for the Loreto Orphanages in the city. In the future we aim to help other local based Kolkata children’s organisations by way of structured funding through donations.
